J. Ishii et al., OBSERVATION OF THE A (2)SIGMA(-X(2)PI(3()[)2) TRANSITION OF NITRIC-OXIDE WITH 2-PHOTON DEGENERATE 4-WAVE-MIXING/, Chemical physics letters, 220(1-2), 1994, pp. 29-34
A rotationally resolved excitation spectrum of the A 2SIGMA+-X2PI3/2 t
ransition of nitric oxide was observed by use of the two-photon degene
rate four-wave mixing (TP-DFWM) process. It was found that the peak po
sitions in the TP-DFWM spectrum are blue-shifted by 0.5 cm-1 compared
to corresponding rotational lines in the two-photon laser-induced fluo
rescence excitation spectrum. From the dependence of the TP-DFWM signa
l intensity upon the polarization of the input laser fields, the mecha
nism for the generation of the phase-conjugate beam is discussed.
