Abstract
Simple and accurate detection of microsatellite polymorphisms became a n important tool in linkage analysis, gene mapping and DNA typing. Flu orescent labeling of PCR products enabled fast and accurate typing of a large number of individuals using an automated laser fluorescence DN A sequencer. An other simple possibility for the detection of microsat ellite polymorphisms is rapid silver staining of non labeled PCR produ cts separated in native PAA gels.
