Grazing incidence reflection of nuclear gamma-radiation from a 240 ang
strom film of Fe-57 has been studied. Mossbauer spectra of scattering
were measured in the interval of grazing angles between 3.2 and 6.8 mr
ad. Almost pure nuclear reflection of resonant radiation at high grazi
ng angle was observed. A theoretical simulation of experimental result
s made it possible to fit all measured Mossbauer spectra with a single
set of sample parameters. An extremely thin layer of Fe2O3 of not mor
e than 4 angstrom thickness was distinguished on the sample surface.
