Based on long-term (1977 - 1992) regular measurements with no alterati
ons in the receiving-system parameters, a slowdown has been detected i
n the rate of the flux decrease of the Cassiopeia A supernova remnant.
The mean rate of the intensity decrease at 102 MHz was found to be 0.
8 +/- 0.12% per year, i.e., 1.5 times smaller than the one measured ea
rlier (1949 - 1982) at the close-by frequency of 81.5 MHz. Observation
s at 152 and 81.5 MHz confirm the slow-down of the decrease rate to be
about 0.8% per year.
