Yn. Gnedin et Sv. Krasnikov, DECAY OF ARIONS IN THE MAGNETIC-FIELD OF THE STARS AS AN ADDITIONAL SOURCE OF X-RAY-EMISSION, Astronomy letters, 20(1), 1994, pp. 72-74
Conversion of zero-mass Goldstone particles (arions), generated in the
central regions of stars, into photons in the magnetic field of stars
leads to a noticeably higher x-ray emission than in the other mechani
sms. The intensity of x-ray emission depends strongly on the physical
parameters of the arion. Observation of radiation from different kinds
of stars permits one, in principle, to determine these parameters.
