Abstract
The first direct measurement of q(1s) and its dependence on target den sity and deuterium concentration was performed in HID (protium/deuteri um) mixtures. Charge coupled devices (CCDs) were employed to detect th e muonic hydrogen X rays. The presented preliminary results were obtai ned by determining the relative K alpha-yields of both isotopes.
