Abstract
A complete series of TmSb1-xTex single crystals has been prepared in o rder to enable a systematic investigation of the valence change of Tm between nearly +3 for semimetallic TmSb and +2 for semiconducting TmTe . A discontinuous semiconductor-metal transition is observed at x=0.8- 0.9.
