Abstract
The ground-state energies of a double acceptor in a cubic semiconducto r are calculated in the spherical approximation. The case of a strong spin-orbit interaction is considered. This case is valid for many cubi c semiconductors. It assumes that the acceptor states form from states which belong to the bands of light and heavy holes, while the effect of the band split off by the spin-orbit interaction is negligible.
