In this paper we suggest a convenient algorithm of practical crystallo
graphy to correlate the index of a coordination sphere to the set of t
he filling polyhedra for simple cubic (s.c.) and body-centered cubic (
b.c.c.) lattices. Any coordination sphere may be represented as a comb
ination of seven polyhedra. We introduce here the notion of coordinati
on spheres with zero filling and derive a rule for going from the sphe
re numbering obtained in this way to the traditional one.
