Abstract
The empirical parameters of a modified Soave expression for alpha(T-R) have been correlated in terms of readily available pure component par ameters. Both parameters have been expressed in terms of the group (om ega Z(C)) as correlating parameter. The correlations are recommended f or the calculation of pure fluid properties and vapor-liquid equilibri um in mixtures containing polar and non-polar fluids.
