Abstract
A case is presented of unilateral traumatic massive air leak successfu lly treated with prolonged double-lumen endobronchial intubation and u nilateral high frequency intermittent positive pressure ventilation, w hile the ''good'' lung was ventilated conventionally. The problems enc ountered are described and the rationale for this management are discu ssed.
