Abstract
In the title dinuclear molybdenum-chloro-oxo-sulfido-pyridine complex, -sulfido-bis[chloro(oxo)bis(pyridine-N)molybdenum] (Mo-Mo) bis(pyridi ne) solvate, [Mo2Cl2(O)(2)(S)(2)(C5H5N)(4)].2C(5)H(5)N, the two Mo ato ms are each coordinated by one chloro, one oxo and two pyridine ligand s, and are bridged by two mu-S ligands. The distance between the Mo at oms is 2.837 (1) Angstrom, suggesting the existence of an Mo-Mo single bond.
