The interaction of silver and iodide ions in N,N-dimethylformamide (DM
F) at 25-degrees-C has been investigated by potentiometric measurement
s over 5-50 mM concentration range. The stability constants of the com
plexes AgI, Ag6I82-, Ag5I72-, Ag4I52-, Ag2I42-, AgI2- and AgI32- have
been determined by systematic computer evaluation of the results. The
stability constants of the corresponding complexes are larger in DMF t
han in DMSO.
