Abstract
The stable floating Langmuir film of N-hexadecylpyridinium kis-(1-phen yl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-pyrazolone-5-one) europium formed at air-water i nterface, could be deposited at a surface pressure of 10 mN/m onto var ious hydrophilic substrates of fuzed quartz, single crystal calcium fl oride and transparent indium tin oxide (ITO) glass successively with a transfer ratio of around unity. LB films with more than 50 layers in Z or Y type were obtained. The films were characterized by ultraviolet , fluorescent, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and low angle X-ray di ffraction. The electric conductivity of the film is reported as well.
