This concluding article highlights the importance of constructive conf
lict management in resolving conflicts arising from diversity. The aut
hors discuss policy recommendations that include (1) implementing and
evaluating constructive conflict management programs in schools as par
t of a core curriculum, (2) training individuals in nonschool settings
(community-based workshops and organizations), and (3) designing cros
s-cultural programs for high-risk inner-city youth. Procedural modific
ations for the negotiation process as well as directions for future re
search are also discussed.
