Abstract
An in vitro herpes simplex virus type 1. (HSV-1) latency model was est ablished, using trigeminal ganglia from latently infected mice. When h eat-treated at 43 degrees C for 3 h, reactivation followed in 76.6% of the cultures, while reactivation was not observed in non-heat-treated controls.
