A. Moriya et al., HEAT SHOCK-INDUCED REACTIVATION OF HERPES-SIMPLEX VIRUS TYPE-1 IN LATENTLY INFECTED-MOUSE TRIGEMINAL GANGLION-CELLS IN DISSOCIATED CULTURE - BRIEF REPORT, Archives of virology, 135(3-4), 1994, pp. 419-425
An in vitro herpes simplex virus type 1. (HSV-1) latency model was est
ablished, using trigeminal ganglia from latently infected mice. When h
eat-treated at 43 degrees C for 3 h, reactivation followed in 76.6% of
the cultures, while reactivation was not observed in non-heat-treated
controls.
