L. Tiskarudman et al., INFLUENCE OF AGE, HEMOSTATIC TESTS AND DEEP-VEIN THROMBOSIS ON GENITAL TUMORS IN WOMEN, Collegium antropologicum, 18, 1994, pp. 15-19
207 patients with gynecological tumors were studied in the Central Ins
titute for Tumors during a two year period. Of these 207 patients 133
had a malignant tumor, and 74 benign tumors site in uterus or ovary. A
nalysis of the age of the patients treated for tumors in a two year pe
riod (1. June 1990 - 1. July 1992) shows: the patients with malignant
gynecological tumors are 10 years older than the patients with benign
gynecological tumors; DVT is more frequent in the patients with malign
ant gynecological tumors; hemostatic tests are more frequently changed
in the patients with malignomas: decreased values of prothrombin time
, increased fibrinogen values and decreased AT III values.
