A 5-Year-old Simmental bull with a history of progressive shifting lam
eness associated with proliferative hoof walls in both hind claws was
presented for examination. Semen production had ceased for several mon
ths after a diagnosis of spastic syndrome. The syndrome complicated wi
th spondylitis advanced until the bull was able to stand for only shor
t periods of time. Testicular degeneration was diagnosed using a histo
pathological grading scheme.
