P. Sieber et al., DEPENDENCE OF BARYONIC OBSERVABLES ON THE QUARK AXIAL-VECTOR COUPLINGIN THE CHIRAL QUARK-MODEL, Nuclear physics. A, 569(4), 1994, pp. 629-644
We study the solitonic sector of the SU(2) chiral quark model treating
the constituent mass M and the quark-axial-vector coupling g(A) as fr
ee parameters. For different values of M and g(A) the soliton energy,
the moment of inertia, and various other observables are calculated. T
he polarization of the Dirac-sea is fully included. We find that the b
aryonic observables are almost independent of g(A) in the range 0.75 l
ess-than-or-equal-to g(A) less-than-or-equal-to 1.25 provided for each
g(A) the constituent mass M is chosen appropriately to reproduce the
experimental value of the mass difference between the delta-particle a
nd the nucleon.
