We report the successful use of prostaglandin F2 alpha continuous blad
der irrigation in two patients for the treatment of intractable cyclop
hosphamide-induced hemorrhagic cystitis which was resistant to convent
ional therapy in two patients. A 0.7 mg% solution of prostaglandin F2
alpha was used for continuous bladder irrigation at a rate of 150 to 2
00 cc/hr for four days. The response was complete in both patients and
no side effects were noted.
