The production rate of strange clusters in relativistic heavy ion coll
isions is estimated using a simplified coalescence model and the casca
de code ARC, adjusting parameters to fit ordinary composite particle p
roduction. We predict that a hypothetical (LAMBDALAMBDA)b would be pro
duced at a rate dN/dy of order 0.1 for central Au + Au collisions at B
rookhaven AGS energies and midrapidity. The corresponding rate for the
(LAMBDALAMBDA)He-6 is 2 x 10(-5). We also suggest some experimental p
ossibilities for detecting such clusters.
