We have found possible radio signatures of a coronal disconnection eve
nt observed by the Solar Maximum Mission Coronagraph/Polarimeter. The
radio emission seems to be produced by charged particles accelerated d
uring the same reconnection process which is responsible for the disco
nnection event. We discuss the implications of the radio emission char
acteristics to the reconnection process.
