A. Buta et al., SHADOWING EFFECTS AND TRANSVERSE-MOMENTUM DEPENDENCE OF PARTICLE-EMISSION IN INTERMEDIATE-ENERGY HEAVY-ION COLLISIONS, ZEITSCHRIFT FUR PHYSIK A-HADRONS AND NUCLEI, 357(1), 1997, pp. 9-11
Light particle emission was studied at Ganil for Ar-36 +(27) Al betwee
n 55 and 95 MeV/u and for Zn-64 +(58) Ni between 35 and 79 MeV/u. The
correlation of these particles with the reaction plane was analyzed. I
n intermediate impact parameter events, the transverse momentum depend
ence of this correlation changes drastically with the energy for midra
pidity particles. For both systems, at the upper incident energies, pa
rticles with highest transverse momenta are preferentially emitted per
pendicular to the reaction plane. This can be qualitatively reproduced
by simulations taking into account shadowing effects.
