Abstract
Generalized pustular eruptions with fever present a diagnostic challen ge. A history of preceding drug exposure, and rapid disappearance of t he eruption after the drug is stopped, suggest a drug-induced aetiolog y rather than pustular psoriasis. We describe and evaluate the clinica l and histological features of four patients who developed a generaliz ed pustular eruption following drug administration. The history of pre ceding drug exposure and the presence of a variable number of eosinoph ils in the inflammatory infiltrate in the lesions of these cases sugge sted that the generalized pustular eruptions were drug-induced.
