Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relative effect of phys ical practice only (A) and a combined physical practice/imagery interv ention program (B) on foul shot percentages of a highly skilled women' s basketball team. Contrasts of mean foul shot percentage were used to compare the baseline, intervention, and no intervention phases in the A1-B1-A2-B2-A3-B3 reversal design. This study encompassed 35 regular and post season games. The major contributions of this study included the results of an ABABAB reversal design and the real effect of 10-18% changes by using combined physical/practice for highly skilled women basketball players.
