Abstract
A pair of Quantum Point Contacts separated by a continuous barrier hav e been fabricated using the surface gate technique. Transport measurem ents for each component of this system and for various combinations ha ve shown both additive and non-additive behaviour. The results are exp lained by a combination of reflection by the barrier of electrons coll imated by the Quantum Point Contacts and transport by diffusion across the barrier.
