Abstract
The coupled surface plasmon-polariton modes have been studied for plan e interfaces of two isotropic dielectric media. The effect of spatial dispersion is incorporated in our study using Bloch's hydrodynamical m odel. The dispersion relation for plasmon-phonon-polariton surface mod es has been derived. The coupled surface phonon-polariton modes have a lso been studied as a special case.
