Abstract
The proton momentum and density distributions of closed shell nuclei a re calculated with a model treating short-range correlations up to fir st order in the cluster expansion. The validity of the model is verifi ed by comparing the results obtained using purely scalar correlations with those produced by finite nuclei Fermi hypernetted chain calculati ons. State dependent correlations are used to calculate momentum and d ensity distributions of C-12, O-16, Ca-40, and Ca-48, and the effects of their tensor components' are studied.
