Abstract
A new spatial light modulator using antiferroelectric liquid crystal a nd amorphous silicon photosensor is presented. This spatial light modu lator realizes real-time optical information processing by applying hi gh-frequency voltage to the device. By changing the driving frequency, we have achieved both linear and nonlinear operations with a single d evice.
