In the 1940s, Ester Bick from the Tavistock Clinic in London developed
the method of baby observation, which today is receiving increasing a
ttention in psychoanalytic training - also in Germany. The goal is a d
idactic one of learning to work with the psychoanalytical method. This
article introduces the method and demonstrates its application by vig
nettes from observation.
