Abstract
Consequences of electron vibration coupling have been investigated usi ng one- and two-photon spectra of Mn4+ in cubic Cs2GeF6 and CS2SiF6. T he observations clearly demonstrate a linear Jahn-Teller effect, a Ham effect in electronic and vibronic energy levels, and a quadratic Jahn -Teller or Satten effect.
