Abstract
Persistent spectral hole burning and fluorescence line narrowing spect roscopy was applied to Pr3+ doped silicate glass, yttria stabilized zi rconia, and yttria, to investigate homogeneous line width (GAMMA). In the temperature (T) dependence of GAMMA, T-linear components are commo nly found below 10 K in these three materials, and their magnitudes ar e found to become larger as the degree of disorder increases.
