Abstract
A new method has been developed for testing composites for corrosion-t hermal resistance that simultaneously enables one to determine the cha nges in thermophysical characteristics due to one-sided radiative heat ing in a corrosive medium. The method has been tested on a composite b ased on a glass ceramic reinforced with silicon carbide fibers. A stud y has been made on how the thermal cycling and corrosive medium affect the physicomechanical characteristics.
