The dependence of the galvanomagnetic electromotive force (GEMF) effec
t on the Ni concentration of Ni-Fe alloys has been studied experimenta
lly as compared with the Hall and the magnetoresistance (MR) effects.
The essence of the GEMF effect and the MR effect has been found to be
the phenomenon that an electric field is generated perpendicularly to
an equivalent magnetic induction vector. The GEMF effect has a not les
s advantage than the MR effect, in that the GEMF effect is composed of
only the pure galvanomagnetic phenomenon contrary to the MR. A formul
a with which the present galvanomagnetic phenomena can be well underst
ood has been obtained on the basis of the modefied two carrier types m
odel.
