Abstract
Bidirectional orientation of needle-like CuPc microcrystals was observ
ed in CuPc-doped polyurea films prepared by vapor deposition on KCl(10
0). We postulate that this orientation of the microcrystals is due to
the orientation of the crystalline polyurea matrix. The bell-shaped si
ze distribution of the microcrystals indicates that the CuPc microcrys
tals are formed during sublimation in the source.
