A high-quality hybrid undulator (KIAE-4) has been designed for the FOM
-FEM project. It provides a strong magnetic field of 2.0 kG for a rela
tively large gap with a nominal value of 26 mm at a period of 4 cm. Tw
o magnet side arrays provide enhancement of the magnetic field as well
as the transverse profile of the undulator field adequate to e-beam f
ocusing requirements. The engineering design and results of magnetic f
ield measurements are presented.
