Abstract
The sesquiterpenes beta-caryophyklene-4 beta,5 alpha-epoxide, clovan-5 alpha,9 beta-diol, as well as the new 4 alpha,5 beta-epoxy-1 beta H,9 alpha H-caryophyll-8-ol, have been isolated from aerial parts of Stev ia triflora D.C. The structure of the new compound was elucidated spec troscopic methods.
