Jc. Angulo et al., URINOMA FORMATION SECONDARY TO URETERAL OBSTRUCTION BY METASTATIC SQUAMOUS-CELL CARCINOMA OF THE APPENDIX - CASE-REPORT, Tumori, 79(6), 1993, pp. 447-449
We report a case of secondary squamous cell carcinoma of the appendix
causing spontaneous extravasation of urine and urinoma formation. On t
he basis of clinical findings, we interpret this rare lesion as metast
atic from a cervical carcinoma surgically resected 8 years earlier. Ur
eteral continuity was restored by retrograde catheterization and the u
rinoma was drained percutaneously. The final diagnosis was made at lap
arotomy.
