Abstract
Methods of ratooning were tested on leaf lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. cu ltivar 'Oakleaf'). By using a single rootstock for four grow-outs, let tuce yields were increased by more than 50% and productivity was incre ased by more than 25% compared with single-crop controls.
