Abstract
In 2 horses with an elevated LDH1 serum isoenzym fraction, a right hea rt catheterization was performed using a Micro Tip Transducer-catheter (R). In both animals an altered pressure curve and an abnormal rate of ventricular pressure rise (dP/dt), were observed. These observations were compared with the results of 5 normal horses. It was concluded th at this technique could be useful for the examination of the equine he art.
