Abstract
The idea of observability with delay for discrete-event dynamic system s in a finite state machine framework has recently been proposed. This note points out some shortcomings in the existing definitions and pro poses an alternative one. It also derives necessary and sufficient con ditions for the above property that can be tested for easily.
