Mp. Grassi et al., REVERSIBLE BILATERAL OPERCULAR SYNDROME SECONDARY TO AIDS - ASSOCIATED CEREBRAL TOXOPLASMOSIS, Italian journal of neurological sciences, 15(2), 1994, pp. 115-117
A case of reversible anterior bilateral opercular syndrome (Foix-Chava
ny-Marie syndrome) secondary to cerebral toxoplasma abscesses is descr
ibed in a patient with AIDS. The symptoms regressed following antitoxo
plasma and antiedema drug therapy. Although this is the first reported
AIDS-related case, the syndrome is likely to recur in AIDS sufferers
in whom multifocal cerebral lesions are common.
