Abstract
Besides nine known terpenoids, two new compounds, a chalcone glucoside and a lignan glucoside have been isolated from the roots of Pyracanth a coccinea (Rosaceae). The structures of these two products were ident ified at (3R,4R) y-4-beta-D-glucopyranosiloxybenzyl)tetrahydrofuran (1 ) and oxy-2'-methoxy-chalcone-4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2) by detail ed spectral studies including COSY, NOESY, HETCOR, and COLOC nmr techn ique.
