Using both traditional scientific and feminist methodologies, this stu
dy evaluates the effectiveness of a family life education Program desi
gned to help dual-earner couples share domestic labor. Both quantitati
ve and qualitative data suggested that the program produced small incr
eases in husbands' involvement in both housework and child rare and la
rge increases in wives' satisfaction with domestic work arrangements,
These changes persisted for 6 months after the end of the program.
