This paper presents a study on the utilization of the indigenous EMIS-
Cd electrode, by the known potentometric techniques (i.e. direct poten
tiometry, standard addition and potentiometric titration), for determi
ning the Cd2+ concentration in the samples to be analysed. The results
got by the abovementioned techniques are presented in comparison with
those obtained by atomic adsorpbtion spectrometry and technical indic
ation titration. The results obtained in the Cd determination by poten
tiomatric methods, using Cd2+-selective membrane electrode, were good
as compared to those got by atomic adsorpbtion spectrometry. The best
results were got by potentiometric titration.
