Abstract
The free enthalpies of activation (DELTAG(double-dagger) for model rea ction of aminolysis of active esters of 18 proteinaceous amino acids w ere determined. It was shown that free enthalpies of activation of par ticular amino acids demonstrate a periodical dependence on the genetic code arranged in a closed ring by the sequence of one step mutations. One step mutations appear as regular series of 2 3 3 3 1 3 3 3 1 3 3 3 1 3 3 3 2 3 3 3 type (numbers denote a codon position in which a cha nge took place). There appear three such ''one-step mutation periods'' in the genetic code. The codons of Gly located between the end of the third and the beginning of the first period close the ''one-step muta tion ring'' of the genetic code, It was also found that the Chou-Fasma n stereochemical parameters demonstrate a pseudosymmetry pattern when arranged within the ''one-step mutation ring'' of the genetic code.
