Abstract
An extension of Orchard's pattern synthesis technique is presented. Th is extension allows for control on sidelobe levels, prescribed broad n ulls, pattern levels at specified angular positions and the beamwidth. The technique uses the singular value decomposition algorithm (SVD) t o solve the overdetermined system of linear equations. Some examples a re shown.
