T. Ruotsalainen et J. Kostamovaara, A 50-MHZ CMOS AMPLIFIER CHANNEL FOR A LASER-RADAR, Analog integrated circuits and signal processing, 5(3), 1994, pp. 257-264
An integrated CMOS amplifier channel consisting of a transimpedance pr
eamplifier, postamplifiers, and gain control circuitry has been design
ed for the receiver of a pulsed time-of-flight laser radar. The measur
ement results, a total transimpedance of Z(t) almost-equal-to 250 kOME
GA with a bandwidth of BW almost-equal-to 65 MHz and an input-referred
noise current of i(ni) almost-equal-to 7 pA/square-root Hz, show that
a range measurement resolution of centimeter/decimeter class could be
achieved by detecting the edge of the received laser pulse.
