Abstract
With the recent development of numerical electromagnetic field solvers , microwave engineers can accurately predict the performance of arbitr arily shaped electromagnetic structures. This article describes the us e of a numerical electromagnetic field solver in the analysis of speci fic microwave components including transitions, waveguide structures, monolithic microwave integrated circuits, and microstrip antennas. Mul tipactor breakdown analysis is also discussed.
