The study of the thermodynamic behavior of polymers on anisotropic Bet
he lattices shows a phase diagram for the four-coordinated lattice whi
ch is different from the ones for lattices with larger coordination nu
mber. Two distinct polymerized phases appear, one of them having the d
ensity of sites incorporated into chains equal to one. The solution of
the model on the anisotropic q=4 Husimi lattice leads to similar resu
lts. Finally, preliminary phenomenological renormalization group calcu
lations, using the solution of the model on strips of finite widths vi
a transfer matrix calculations, are consistent with a similar phase di
agram for the model on the square lattice.
